The KHS Band appreciates all that the Band Family does (or has done) for our organization and would encourage everyone to look to the KHS Band when deciding where to give this year for the annual Give Where You Live. Costs continue to rise, as do the efforts to continue providing quality equipment and instruction to the members of the KHS Band. Thank you for considering helping us fullfill of our goal of, “Enriching Lives Through Music!”

Give Where You Live 2022

From the Kearney Area Community Foundation:

Give Where You Live (GWYL) is right around the corner! Our annual 24-hour giving day is Thursday, December 1. Since 2013, we have raised more than $8 million for local nonprofits.

The Kearney Area Community Foundation (KACF) is excited to announce that this year’s theme is Discover Local Giving. You can discover the benefits of helping others in your community or a new cause to support. You can also discover a new way to give.

We’re also increasing the match pool to $150,000 in celebration of Kearney’s 150th birthday in 2023! Plus, there will be an additional $35,000 available in prizes!

With GWYL happening week, now is a great time to begin deciding which local nonprofit(s) to support. Click here to see the list of this year’s participating nonprofits, as well as a brief description of each nonprofit’s mission.

You can fill out the form and bring it by our office on December 1, or mail it to us at:

412 W. 48th St.
Suite 12
Kearney, NE 68845.
Note: All mailed checks must be received by KACF on or before December 1 to be included in the GWYL totals or be eligible for prizes. For more information or to donate online, go to the website givewhereyoulive.net

Early giving is open now!

Making a gift from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) is a great way to support GWYL that you might not have considered. Since GWYL is at the beginning of December, it provides an excellent opportunity to help local nonprofits in your community, as well as helping you when it comes to tax season. It’s a win-win for both you and your community.
