Treasurer Update
General Fund – $51,512.33 – have not actually purchased Tuba that was approved last school year for $10,000 due to delays with Yamaha. This fund is also used for things like quickbook fees, extra expenses for band trips, expenses with other band needs. There was also some discussion from parents about the possibility of placing some of these funds in a high yield financial account. We will discuss this at the executive meeting next month.
Student Accounts – $22,250.57
Online account – $8,956.51
b. payouts – stadium cleanup $2,400 has been received and the funds will be disbursed into student accounts soon. Fall concession funds will be coming soon as well. Kcards – expected funds to students of around $9100.
c. Cane’s correction from last month: We earned $336.08, not $75. There was a mix up with the checks.

9. Director’s Comments
LeFeber: 7 students participated in the Allstate band.
Our students also had the privilege to perform in the Lied Center. There was a crowd of around 500-600 people which is a great turn out. Mr. Boyer and Mr. Mitchell both conducted pieces. Received so many positive comments from other music teachers which is a huge honor. You can still hear some of the music we played at this event at our upcoming Winter Concerts on 12/11 and 12/16.
We are looking into making a change to our band website, which you may have received an email/survey about. We would like feedback on what the parents would like to see with the new site.
The jazz concert was right before Thanksgiving and we had great attendance. Will go to UNO Jazz Festival and will also have the Central Nebraska Jazz Festival as well. Thank you to everyone who comes out to support our students.
NSAA next year: UNK wanted to charge us a lot of money this round to host NSAA this next year. LeFeber reached out to NSAA to let them know we will not be hosting that festival at UNK like we have in the past.
We recently wrote a $30,000 grant request that was submitted to the City of Kearney for the Keno grant funds, but we were not awarded the grant.
Spoke with the finance director regarding the new uniforms and sent some information again. The uniform company doesn’t foresee an increase in cost but can only lock in the bid for 2 months. For now, we are still stuck in limbo.
