March 3, 2026 – 6:30 pm
1. Call Meeting to Order

Treasurer Update:
General Fund – $20,439.69
Student Accounts – $25,553.90
Online account – $10,672.57
3 mo CD- $10,000 (matures 4/29/26; 3.84%)
6 mo CD- $5,000 (matures 7/29/26; 3.84%)
$5,155.44 was applied to upcoming band trip fees from student accounts
$450 fee for using the cafeteria for NSBA was paid.
4. Committee Reports
Concessions: funds will be deposited into student accounts soon.
Big Band Night: Lora – Fundraiser for the Jazz Band. This year we have a special guest singer coming in from Paris, so the theme is Swinging in Pari. Mari from Encore will do a dance lesson before the event at 5:45 for $10 per person or $15 per couple. The admission cost to the event will be $10. We will have a mime performing, a bloom bar cart, concessions, photo booth, and street portrait artist.
Will need volunteers for transporting bottled water, making veggie and charcuterie cups, help run concessions, bloom bar, and photo booth.Sign up genius will go out in April. Looking for some business sponsors to help cover the costs for some or all of these activities. Residents from the Veteran’s home will be invited again.

NSBA has elected Rick Mitchell as president!
March is Music in our School’s month. We are collecting instruments for a school in El Salvador that is in a high crime area. Music is a wonderful opportunity to keep these kids involved in school. Please consider donating any musical instruments or supplies. Bring them to the school or email Rick at moc.stacyenraeknull@llehctimcir

UNO Jazz Fest was a great time.
Next Jazz event is April 14 for the Central Nebraska Jazz Festival.
Ed Uden was nominated last Friday for a new NSBA Award to recognize outstanding boosters. He will be the 2nd ever recipient of this award. Ed started volunteering with the high school band in 2005, before current students were born!
Concert next Thursday 3/12 will feature all the bands including Faith Christian and Home School Band. Brass quintet will be featured with the wind ensemble. Will be live streamed on YouTube KHS Fine Arts.
Old uniforms are already being made into some keepsakes like coin pouches, pencil bags, pillows, etc. Order forms will go out soon for an opportunity to purchase.
Tomorrow and possibly Friday- Saturday, we will be taking the largest pep band yet to state basketball.
