Marching Festival- We are exploring the idea to have a small festival (7 bands so far) on Oct. 24th. We are providing the location and planning and Columbus is taking care of judges, etc. We are working out the details, but we need volunteers. Contest will start at 3 and look to end by 6. Spectators may only watch their own band. Trying to have it be a positive end to the year. We are hoping to have some sort of last supper type event where seniors could still give speeches, etc.

Trailer-There is a trailer that may be coming up for auction from the sheriff’s dept. Some questions were raised about insurance concerns that will need to be figured out. Yes we need a trailer, the one that we currently use is personally owned. It was discussed that it needed to be about 20 – 24 feet. We will present to the general assembly to vote yes for pre approval to bid at the auction, not to exceed $6,000.
Grant for Instrument Repair-$12,000 Grant was approved from COVID funding to help for extra cost incurred with cleaning, repairs etc on instruments.
Directors Comments Nathan LeFeber / Rick Mitchell:
Directors are very impressed with the performances. Multiple comments have been made from other directors/spectators on how great the students/show has been especially with the current circumstances. Way to go Band.
Just a few more performances left, NET will be coming out to film and a recording was sent in for a virtual competition. Then the last Marching Festival on the 24th. There will not be any more parades at this point, the veterans day parade has been cancelled.
