Meeting called to order by President Ronda Jaeschke.
There were 24 members in attendance.
Reading of the Minutes
Minutes were read by those in attendance. A motion was made to accept the minutes as submitted by Arlyn Hinrichs and seconded by Lynn Cooper.
Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer Report was shared. The report will be filed.
Committee Reports
UNK concessions- is coming to an end. Are expecting the check soon, but we have to wait for Runza to get all of their information gathered first.
Stadium cleanup- went well, check is “in the mail“. Rain date was not originally paid but we will get at least a portion of the cleanup fee, because the cleanup was done. 6 man football state playoffs will be held at UNK. We have been asked to clean the stadium after the game. Basketball concessions- First game is December 10th. There is a total of 10 home games. Allotment of 3 spots to sign up per student in band.

Mail Chimp – supplies the list of those interested with numbers and emails Sign-up Genius – an on line scheduling device that sends out reminders to the people signed up
The chair of the fundraiser is responsible for plugging in the names of all involved and when they can work with the times available. Paying special attention so the parents that have limited availability to work have the same options as the parents that are available at any time. We don’t want to have the parents that are available at any time, taking all of the time slots that would work for the parents with limited availability. We also need to make sure that we aren’t leaving out the parents that don’t have email.
Big Band Dance- February 3rd Sunrise Middle School A chairperson is needed Pictures to add to the website- The web team will add galleries to the website, Jazz Concert – first time to have free will donation – was generally well accepted. Made $366. We will continue for each concert, volunteers are appreciated.
NSBA photo orders – orders need to be placed through the photographer. The association is NOT handling these orders. Pay special attention; there are other bands photos mixed in with ours.
Old business
Band Boosters Steering Committee – nothing at this time we are still working on it.
Fundraisers
Reusable bags – Advertisers are paying for the cost of the bags. Clubs will be able to sell these bags for whatever price they want. 100% profit. We don’t have any samples yet. Hoop Heads – Just received our 1st shipment of 100. $15.00 each. Quick turn around time. Scentsy Fundraiser – electric candles Gigi Call has graciously offered to donate her 25% commission of sales to the band parents organization. You can have a “basket” party and the commission would go to the general fund. 1month turn around. She will offer this to us until the end of the school year. Lynn Cooper motioned to accept. 2nd by Julie Hofer. Motion carried.
Popcorn Palace – Tammy Madsen – 50 % profit. Receive the order 1 week to 10 days after ordering. Too close to the boy scouts popcorn sales at this time. The orders would all go to the chairs house and then would need to be distributed from there. Possibly do this as a brochure fundraiser in lieu of Deli International in the spring. Tammy will find out more information. This was tabled until next month.

Directors Comments
Veterans Day Parade- make sure the uniform is dry and mud free, including the shoes. NSBA performance was very good!
Looking to possibly host a field competition during UNK Band day for more experience and also possibly going to the Minden Bandfest.
March Concert Dr. Scott Anderson Trombone professor from UNL will be coming in symphonic band. Spring Band Concert at Yanney Park.
- Feb. 24-25 Jazz Band to UNO with Doc Severensen.
- Feb 16 last home basketball game – alumni pep band
Donations at concerts – cannot charge admission due to the copyright of the music. Acoustic shell needs to come down after the concert – Black for the concert Band Trip
