The meeting was called to order at 5:35pm. The minutes were approved from the November meeting.

Financial report – The savings account has a balance of $81,360.50 which is mostly NYC trip money. The checking account has a balance of $20,812.35. We received the payment for the stadium clean up money which is $600.00. 10% goes to the KBPA and the balance was distributed into the accounts of the 27 people who cleaned up the stadium. It amounted to approximately $11.00 an hour paid to the people who cleaned. A question came up about splitting the stadium clean up from the basketball concessions and it was explained that the Executive Committee discussed the situation and decided to split the two events this year.

The Give Where You Live campaign was discussed which will be held on December 3rd. People were encouraged to donate to KBPA, the stadium lights or the Share the Stage project.

Mr. Lefeber – There will be a Big Band Dance at the Archway from 7-9:30 on Friday December 4th. The jazz band will play. Because the band is getting new uniforms the old band uniforms are being sold for $40.00 each. There are CD’s for sale from last year’s band music and they are $10.00. The 3rd trip payment is due on January 15th. Check the website for the details. The last band trip payment is due in March.

The committee working on the Lighting Campaign for the field at the new high school is looking for people who have connections to businesses that people from the committee could approach about donating. Let Mr Lefeber know if you have any personal connections that could be contacted.

Pep band is in full swing. Check to see if your student is on the gold or blue band. Students must arrive 45 minutes before the game. If they are going to miss a game they need to get a substitute and then mark down that they are subbing and who they are subbing for.

There are some revisions to the basketball playing schedule to make sure to check the website for details. kearneybands.org/

Mr. MItchell – Took 21 KHS students to all-state and 6 were from the band. Parents were encouraged to use Amazon Smile when buying for the holidays. Go to Smile.Amazon.com to make purchases. There is no additional charge but a percentage is given to the band. We hope to do one more fundraiser before the final trip money is due.

Stacy Bean talked about a fundraiser selling metal signs at the concession stands.

With no further business a motion was made to adjourn by Ed Udan and second by Stacy Bean. The meeting was adjourned at 6:10pm.
