Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by Lisa Parish.
Approval of Minutes
Approval of October meeting minutes was motioned by Ed and second by Cheryl H. all were in favor.
Financial Report
- Savings = $35,518.09
- Checking = $39,344.12
- Scrip = no report
Andy gave a financial report of NSBA. The KBPA profited $13,290.78 from the event. Andy gave the remaining financial report. Erica motioned to approve the Treasurer report and Abe seconds, all were in favor, motioned passed.
NSBA Followup
Chairs Erica Krull and Mikaela Richmond gave an update of NSBA. Reports from surveys had no negative remarks. The chairs will resend a survey for volunteers to fill out, since there was a small response. An extra -large thank you to all who volunteered for this event and helping to make it very successful. The Pit Crew Olympics was a great success and plan to have next year. Next year NSBA is October 26th. The directors plan to apply for having NSBA at KHS.
Roadies Update
Chairs Cheryl Hjort and Joni Ruth remind parents/students that uniforms need cleaned prior to turning them. A message will be sent out with a return due date. Students in Honor Bands will turn theirs in later.
Pit Crew
Ed Uden gave a special thank you to all who helped in the pit crew and for the purchase of the air compressor. Ed also gave an interesting fact that the equipment we take to events weighs 6,000#!!!!
Volunteer Positions
- Thanks to Ashley Arner volunteered to be the Assistant Uniform Chair with Joni Ruth being Chair next year.
- Thanks to Barb and Ed Uden for volunteering to chair this year’s band banquet.

Fundraising
- Concessions – Angela Wright. This is a way to earn money for your child. Sign up genius is open now. First opportunity is November 24th.
Directors Comments
Mr. Mitchell: Thanks to all who volunteered at NSBA, Bus volunteers, Pitcrew without your help the great results we get would not come true.
- Six high school students are attending All State Honor Band and three are freshman. Doane Honor band will performed November 3rd with four students involved.
- TRI-M is an honor group for music students (band, choir, and orchestra) they will attend a symposium on Wednesday, November 14th in Lincoln.
Mr. LeFeber – The band and color guard received Superiors at all contest this year!!!! Way to go!!!!!
- Harmony Bridge is a way students can perform as chamber groups at nursing homes, etc. Michel Devine received a donation of $7500.00 to start this project. The first performance is at Country House. The ninth grade students will attend.
- The Germany trip has 90 students/adults attending. (50 students and 30 adults) A total of 105 need to be signed up.
- Pep band assignments are on the kearneybands.org/. Assignments found under student then pep band. Ask your student or directors for the password.
- Reminder that December 11th and 13th are KHS music concerts starting at 7:30 pm. These concerts include the choir, orchestra and bands. Each night is a different performance.
Adjournment
With no other business to conduct, there was a motion by Ed and second by Mikayla to adjourn. All were in favor, motion carried. Next meeting is December 4th at 6:30 in the band room.
