Volunteer Information:

If you would like to assist with operations at the Central Nebraska Jazz Festival at UNK, please register through SignUp Genius.

The District Music Contest for District IV will be held at Elm Creek High School. Kearney HS will only bet taking solos and small ensembles. Please check in with Mr. LeFeber or Mr. Mitchell for more information.

Spectators are welcome to attend.

Kearney High School jazz ensemble will perform at the festival, but there will be many opportunities for the student to experience. Some of the highlights will be: 

• 2 night accommodation
• Jazz festival workshops and masterclass
• Fabulous headliner concert Friday night (a tribute to Jaco Pastoris featuring Victor Wooten) and Saturday Afternoon (Zaremba Jazz Fellowship featuring Wayne Burgeron)
• Transportation aboard a KHS Motor coach
• Side trip to Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park
• And more…

The total cost for this trip per person will be $250. Fundraising is available in the form of our spring fundraiser as well as tickets for the KHS Big Band dance.

Permission slip will be made available in class as well as online.
