| 4. | Committee Reports Band Banquet Big Band Night – if anyone knows someone who is a florist who would like to donate some flowers or anyone who could bring flowers, we could do our own flower bar since we did not receive any sponsorships to order from Creek Bend. Thank you to OpenBook, Gary Michaels, Central Mediation, Kearney Spa, Construction Rental, and Crane River Theatre. We were hoping to partner with a business to provide concessions but without sponsorships we do not have funds in the budget. Instead we are asking for concession donations from parents. Please consider donating grab and go items, charcuterie items, cups, and beverages. Will need multiple volunteers. Sign up genius will be coming out soon. The Facebook event is live, PLEASE SHARE!! Help spread the word. Last year total $1,930 in ticket sales. Setting a goal for $2,000 this year. Scholarship committee- applications from Julie to committee members – these are being reviewed and results will be determined soon. | |

| 8. | New Business -Slate of Officers presentation: Becky Lumbard-Treasurer-Elect, Leslie Wagner- President-Elect, Craig/Tammy Chamberlin- Com Officer- , Com Officer-Elect Constitution amendments – reviewed the proposed changes to the constitution which will add Communications Officer and Communications Officer Elect positions, as well as an amendment to the Treasurer duties, adding organizing the financial review. Also included in the amendment will be an update to Financial – Article II, Section 2 to clarify how the finances will be reviewed by a financial committee. | |
| 9. | Director’s Comments Mitchell We oversee concessions for all athletics which earns KBPA a 10% management commission, which has been very beneficial in raising funds for KBPA. The concession volunteers consist of various organizations that sign up to run events. We have many middle school students expected to join band next year! Expected to have a total number of over 200 band students next year! Update on used instruments for El Salvador – have received 4 trombones, 2 saxes, 2 flutes, a trap set, marching snare, marching tenor, and will hopefully have some clarinets soon. We are also sending some old uniforms to them as well. Every student is expected to attend a concert once a quarter. Kearney Concert Association does sell membership tickets for around $30 to attend all the performances, offering a large variety with fun themes. Would be a great opportunity for the students as well as parents. LeFeber Thank you to everyone who helped with NSBA. Hosted about 21 bands. Feedback was very positive. Concert coming up May 7th. Will be performing a premiere piece. New uniforms arrived yesterday. An order form will be sent out soon with the option to purchase the old uniforms as well as items made from the material of the old uniforms. Cash or MMO funds will be accepted.
