Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 6:34 pm by President-elect Lisa Parish. A welcome to parents with a reflection of “It ain’t about you”. Ed Uden motioned approval of last month minutes, Laura second.
Treasurer’s Report
Leah gave the financial report.
- Savings – $15,521.40
- Checking – $47,219.12
- Scrip – $421.95
District Music Contest Concession Stands made $2000.00 after expenses. The money will go to Musicalia. Students will be able to withdraw $105.00 for Branson trip. Sign out for money needs completed by May 22nd. Doreen motioned and Heather 2nd motion to approve Treasurer report. All were in favor.
General Business
- Senior flags need to be to Directors before May 12th.
- Scholarship winners will be announced at the Banquet. Eva and Leah gave an overview of the banquet. Band banquet is May 12th at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria.
- Update on Branson trip was given. Students still need to pay and an itinerary was emailed to attendees.
- Recognition was given to Leah and Eva for past services as officers a plant and card was given.
- New Board member positions: President: Lisa Parish, Co-President-elect: Robin Jackson and Kathy Matson, Treasurer: Andy Donovan Treasurer-Elect: Corrine Harre. Leah motioned to approve the nomination slate and Abe 2nd. All approved.
Director’s Comments
Mr. Mitchell reported on the No dough fund made a total of $2600.00 for students. Application for leadership in the band to be turned in. Discussed Kearney Concert Association summer concerts.
Mr. LeFeber reported a great turnout for the Big Band Dance. District Music Contest the student resulted in very good ratings. May 15th at 6 pm a meeting is being held to discuss the Greeley trip and future band trips. Next years marching band show will be “Pirates”.
