Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 6:35 pm by Lisa Parish.
Approval of Minutes
Approval of September meeting minutes was motioned by Ed and second by Kersten all were in favor.
Financial Report
- Savings = $12,543.49
- Checking = $26,807.06
- Scrip = $304.75
Mikaela motioned to approve Treasurer report and Sharon second, all were in favor.
Bearcat Marching Festival – NSBA October 20th
Chairs Erica Krull and Mikaela Richmond gave an update of the marching festival and still needing volunteers. There is a volunteer sign up genius on the kearneybands.org/ website. Please consider volunteering many are needed for these events.
Roadies Update
Chairs Cheryl Hjort and Joni Ruth reminded parents and students no eating in uniforms and to wear black socks. Reminder to hang out uniforms when wet from marching in the rain.
Pit Crew
Ed Uden asked for more ponchos. We are needing volunteers. Please sign up in the genius.
Senior Night
Senior night is October 19th. It will be before the game. Parents are to arrive early and be on the field.
Volunteer Positions
- Concessions – Angela Wright chair. This is a way to earn money for your child. Sign up genius coming soon.
- Stadium Clean up – Reanna Mitchell chair – Clean up stadium after games limit of 15 people.
- Senior Flag Setup – Lisa Parish done at an hour before every game
- Bus Sponsors – Need to pick up a volunteer application if you have not already filled one out.

- Underclassmen Honor Band
Fundraising
- K Cards ends October 26th they are $5.00 each. Can have 10 at a time. Would like students to sell at NSBA.
Directors Comments
Mr. Mitchell stated All State results will be in October 17th, On the band website is a list of other honor bands students can try out for.
Mr. LeFeber – Itineraries for competitions are on the website. Kearney band is 109/220 bands to march at Harvest of Harmony. Step off is at 9 am. An overview of the 2019-2020 band trip. He sent an email to all with information on the trip. Last Supper will be a Food Truck-Sam Q. Need volunteers to serve.
Adjournment
With no other business to conduct there was a motion by Ed and second by Kersten Schroeder. Next meeting is November 6d at 6:30 in the band room.
