Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by Lisa Parish.
Financial Report
- Savings = $104,964.99
- Checking = $25,786.75
- Scrip = $586.50
Eva Linn presented the Booster/band soup and pie fundraiser – $622.25. Corrine gave financial report Sharon motioned to approve the Financial report and Joni second, all were in favor, motioned passed.
Approval of Minutes
Approval of March meeting minutes was motioned by Lauren and second by Cheryl, all were in favor.
General Informations
- Nominations for President Elect, Treasurer Elect and Secretary – no nominations KBPA board will be out recruiting. Please consider running for an office. If interested you can contact a board member or enter name on Sign Up Genius. Formal election will be at the May meeting.
- Need 4-5 Junior Parents for Scholarship Selection Committee – two scholarships will be given. Please sign up in Sign Up Genius
Band Banquet
Barb & Ed Uden are working on finalizing details. The theme is Pirates. If anyone has any pirate decorations to donate please contact Barb or Ed. Banquet is May 11th. A small group met after the meeting to discuss plans. Set up for banquet starts at 2:00 pm.
Big Band Dance
(4/5) – Volunteers can sign up in Signup Genius. Prizes will be given, food, music and dancing is expected. Plan on a fun time!

Fundraisers
- Concessions dates are April 9. Look in SignUp Genius
- No Dough – started March 4th donation will be on webpage and information advertised on business cards and on the Big Band Dance tickets.
Directors Comments
Mr. Mitchell – Color guard for next year have been chosen. There will be 28 students joining the TriM group April 7th. April 13th is District Music contest. Concession Stand help is needed. This will be the last year at Kearney. It rotates with each school.
Mr. LeFeber – the band was presented with a guitar donated by Jim Salestrom it values >$1,000.00. Class C All State Band was at KHS 2 weeks ago. The wind ensemble will be playing with UNK wind ensemble. Drum major tryouts are in May. Leadership applications are due the end of April 30th. 2020 Band trip still has room for participants.
Adjournment
With no other business to conduct, there was a motion by Ed and second by Bodie to adjourn. All were in favor, motion carried. Next meeting is May 7th at 6:30 in the band room.
