3. Financial Reports

Corrine Harre

  • Treasurer Update
    • NSBA Sponsorship, All state fees, equipment rental, amazon smile, etc. fees 5,929.73 deposited.
    • General Fund = 34,374.43
    • Savings 106,567.
    • Scholarship Fund = 168.20
    • Instrument Fund = 939.87
    • Hardship Fund = 1,601.93
    • Colorguard Fund = 720.23
  • Moved that we pay for the previously approved flags for Color Guard. Motion passed.
  • Motion to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion passed.

4. Committee Reports

Joni Ruth / Angie

  • Uniforms/Roadies – Still need to get uniforms turned in before Christmas. Directors are reminding students in class. If not, a hold put on school account, will be unable to get prom tickets, etc.
  • Concessions – Coming up in January – don’t forget to check out Sign Up Genius and sign up to help out.
  • Big Band Dance – Lauren Harbels & Chrisanne Wickham agreed to chair it.
  • Band Banquet – Still need a junior parent to chair this

5. Volunteers Needed

  • Band Banquet Chair – Junior Parent (Spring) Still need a leader

6. Fundraising

  • K Cards – If your kids still have cards or money have them turn it in.
  • Concessions – This will be coming up – don’t forget to sign up.
  • Scrip
  • Amazon Smile (Funds donated to Overall Band Program)
  • Spring Fundraiser?
    • Decide if we do something similar to No Dough but they will take a higher cut. Or do we go to a more traditional selling fundraiser? Proposed that we do an event. Need a lot of questions answered about how the money will be divided and earned, etc.

Don’t forget you can still be earning money for your band kids account.

7. Old Business

No old business.

8. New Business

  • Bassoon – used Bassoon for $2000 to buy and fix up – motion approved
  • French Horn – $4370 buy from Yandas – motion approved
  • January Meeting? No January meeting

9. Directors Comments

Nathan LeFeber / Rick Mitchell

  • Keep up on trip payments
  • Make sure that all information is correct for passports to stay on track.
  • Still would like to decorate stage for the Christmas Concerts so let us know if you would like to help out. Would any students from band, orchestra and Choir like to help out, also?
  • Make sure students are getting signed up for honor bands coming up.
