Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 6:32 pm by Lisa Parish.
Financial Report
- Savings = $97,502.60
- Checking = $26,241.83
- Scrip = $582.75
The drum sets and consortium are paid. Corrine gave financial report Sharon motioned to approve the Financial report and Lauren second, all were in favor, motioned passed.
Approval of Minutes
Approval of February meeting minutes was motioned by Cheryl and second by Corrine, all were in favor.
General Informations
- Nominations for President Elect, Treasurer Elect and Secretary are due April 2nd. Formal election will be at the May meeting.
- Need 4-5 Junior Parents for Scholarship Selection Committee – two scholarships will be given
Band Banquet
Barb & Ed Uden are working on finalizing details. The theme is Pirates. If anyone has any pirate decorations to donate please contact Barb or Ed. Banquet is May 11th. A small group met after the meeting to discuss plans.
Big Band Dance
(4/5) – Lauren Harbol and Kris Ann Wickham – Theme is GI Jive. Tickets are $10, it will be divided 50/50 between students and the Jazz bands. Request for forkless desserts, packs of water and little packets of water flavoring. What water is left over will go to the band. Gift card donations and baskets for raffling are requested. Volunteers can sign up in Signup Genius.
Fundraisers
- Concessions dates are March 19, April 8, and 22nd. Look in SignUp Genius
- No Dough – March 4th to April 5th donation will be on webpage and information advertised on business cards and on the Big Band Dance tickets.
Banner Stands
Amy Hardy requested to use the band banner stands for the soccer team.
Directors Comments
Mr. Mitchell – A band bus will be going to Lincoln for State Tournament with 48 students after the game they will attend an UNO Jazz concert. March 14th is the band and orchestra concert. March 11th the US Air Force Band will perform. April 13th is District Music contest. Concession Stand help is needed. Color Guard audition are March 6th. KHS got NSBA for October 26th will have same chairs as last year. Mr. LeFeber is President Elect of NSBA. 2020 Band trip still has room for participants.
Adjournment
With no other business to conduct, there was a motion by Ed and second by Bodie to adjourn. All were in favor, motion carried. Next meeting is April 2nd at 6:30 in the band room.
