Students may use $15 from account to have band uniforms cleaned. Must sign a form and will be given cash to have uniforms cleaned.
4. Committee Reports
- Pit Crew (Ed Uden) – awesome crew this year. Ideas for next year in the works. THANK YOU to all the help.
- Uniforms / Roadies (Joni Ruth) – great year and great volunteers. The kids were great this year. THANKS TO ALL. Next up is getting uniforms turned in before Christmas. If not, a hold put on school account, will be unable to get prom tickets, etc.
- NSBA / Marching Festival (Erika Krull / Mikaela Richmond) – Went very well, good volunteer turn out, needed a few more, but some were waiting to see when they could help, others offered to stay to help out. Photographers were very happy with how things went. Judges were very impressed and pleased. A big THANK YOU to all who helped and our wonderful leaders.
5. Volunteers Needed
- Band Banquet Chair – Junior Parent (Spring) Still need a leader
- Big Band Dance Chair (Spring) – Have a few ideas on leaders, still waiting to find out.
6. Fundraising
- K Cards – If your kids still have cards or money have them turn it in.
- Concessions – This will be coming up – don’t forget to sign up.
- Scrip
- Amazon Smile (Funds donated to Overall Band Program)
Don’t forget you can still be earning money for your band kids account.
7. Old Business
- Constitutional review – moved to December
8. New Business
- Need a new Drum major ladder – cost is $1200 – $1400 – motion passed
- Money approved for photos for website
- THANK YOU to exec board for their work.
- Great event this week with 8th graders to promote band
9. Directors Comments
Nathan LeFeber / Rick Mitchell
- Trip Update – travel agent says a music festival is going on and we will be participating as an added benefit. Will also be having a BBQ and concert at German local.
- Make sure that all information is correct for passports to stay on track.
- DQ night on November 14 – to earn money towards trophy case. Percentage from proceeds from Dairy Queen will help us out.
- Working with World Theater Monday November 18th to promote band. Come and see.
- Would like to decorate stage for the Christmas Concerts so let us know if you would like to help out. Would any students from band, orchestra and Choir like to help out, also?
- THANK YOU to all those who helped make this the most successful year. An amazing number of awards were won this year and that is in part due to all those who volunteer to help band.
- A good year with a number of students qualifying for all state.
- Make sure students are getting signed up for honor bands coming up.
