The mission of the Kearney Band Parent Association is to support the KHS band program, the directors and students. “We offer a source of parent volunteers and organize fund raising activities, which allow band members to help defray the cost of band trips as well as provide necessary funds for the operation of the Association”.

- Treasurer Update – Review and Approve
- Income total 26,785.00
- Spirit wear all in now and paid
- Bearcat Marching Festival a few expenditures still out there but rest paid
- Script balance 512.05
- General Fund 10,456.09 deposits (sponsorships, CG payments, Online store etc.)
- Payments out listed in report totaling 10,289.67
- Balance = 25,671.08. Bank Balance 30,325.02; difference in outstanding checks not in yet.
- Student savings accounts balance is 145,255.43.
Motion to approve Sam, seconded. All approved.
III. Committee Reports
- Pit Crew – Ed – Awesome crew this year but still need more people to help out. This way students can focus on performance! Please use Sign Up Genius so we know who is coming to help. Reminder you can find all detail online.
- Uniforms/Roadies – The kids are great this year!! Any problems with uniforms have students let us know or directors right away.
- NSBA/Bearcat Marching Festival – Off to a good start, we have a great crew. Still need more volunteers, we have about half now. Free meal per shift worked. Biggest issue is parking – can park at CCC, waiting on Buckle if we can use their lot. Maybe ask kids and parents and helpers to park at Buckle. Add information to visiting schools that parking will take extra time.
- Concessions – Added 9th grade Basketball – start in January – sign up coming closer to time.
- Stadium Cleanup – Now on Sign Up Genius if you want – still can just show up.
- Water Coordinator – Bus Sponsors will be asked to help out.
- Senior Flag Coordinator
- Senior Night Recognition – at the October 18 Football game
- Big Band Dance
- Band Banquet

- Bus Sponsors, Flat Holders, Water coordinator – from bus sponsor list? Expect email soon for this weekend on bus sponsors. Adults needed to hold flats during performance.

VII. Directors Comments
Mitchell
- Just finished All State auditions. Now in Honor Band season. Next honor band for Doane due by next Monday. Can go to kearneybands.org/ in Students section; all the information on honor bands is available.
- K cards are coming!!!! Next week or so. Can get 10 at a time. Can also presell and bring in the money and I will give you the cards.
Lafeber
- 2 new flags from a great student leadership project.
- Kearney High School has been selected to host the Jazz Concert in April of 2020.
- Oct 28-29 Trombone player coming in to work with students. Recital for all who want to attend.
- Band class Music journal is due every week on Friday and playing test the last day of the month.
- Morning band will now be chilly, remind student to come dressed appropriately.
