2025 Quad-State Competition – Vermillion, SD
Kearney High School Band will travel to Vermillion, SD, for the Quad-State Competition. Any time we travel out of state there is seems to be a lot more to accomplish, so we could really use everyone’s help. Please make sure to sign-up through SignUp Genius so we will know who we can expect to assist.
Under Development
The competition field is the Dakota Dome, and we will park the trailers on the south side of the Sport Complex (Lot 39). The band buses will park nearby in Lot 36. Look for our blue trailer, that’s the best I can recommend until we get there. Once we get our staging area established, we will unload the trailers and prep for the Band’s warmup and performance.
Remember to wear BLUE to support our Band.

Saturday, Oct 18

- Pack trailer to depart
- The students will mostly have the trailer packed, but we will need to load hat boxes and other equipment.
- 11:00a
- Depart KHS
- 4:00p
- Arrive Vermillion
- 4:30p - 6:00p
- Dinner
- Dinner will be provided
- 6:00p
- Trailer Unload
- Unload the trailer and stage for band warm-ups
- 7:15p - 8:15p
- Band warm-up and On-Deck staging
- 8:15p
- Performance
- 8:30p - 9:00p
- Pack-up
- We will move the equipment back to the trailer and reload for the trip home.

- Leave for Kearney

- Unload trailer and other equipment into the band room.
