Parade starts at 8:15 am. Kearney High Band is entry #122.
Field Competition: Parade Awards 12:15 pm. Kearney performs at 4:30 pm. Awards at 6:00 pm.
2024: We load buses and hat bags 6:15-7:15 and leave KHS at 7:15 am and will need some help at GISH parking lot by 8:00 am to unload battery percussion and sousaphones for the Parade. In the parade, Kearney steps off at 9:40 am – entry #143 = after Gothenburg HS & before Lincoln Northwest HS. After the parade we return to GISH parking lot and awards are at 12:15 pm. At 12:45 pm we load buses and go to lunch in the old Conestoga Mall area and return at 2:30 pm. After lunch we return to GISH and by 2:30 pm we will prepare for the field competition – unload trailers, 3:45 pm music warmup, 4:05 pm marching warmup, on deck at 4:15 pm and Kearney competes at 4:30 pm. The Awards are at 6:00 pm. We are the first AA band after the Class A Awards – let’s set the bar really high for AA bands. After the competition we load the trailers and then we leave GI at 6:30 pm and return to KHS at 7:30 pm and unload.
