This is the highest award that we offer in the Kearney High Band. Our first award was given in 1962 just 7 years after the national awards establishment. The award recognizes superior musicianship and outstanding dedication to the band and its ideas. Students are selected by the directors each year and the students receive their name on a plaque, a certificate, a desk paperweight and a pin to wear.
